The Folk Alliance International Conference, presented by Folk Alliance International, is the world’s largest gathering of the folk music industry and community (crossing a diverse array of genres including Appalachian, Americana, Blues, Bluegrass, Celtic, Cajun, Francophone, Global Roots, Indigenous, Latin, Old Time, Traditional, Singer-Songwriter, and Spoken Word).

Returning to Canada in 2019, the conference theme, The Spirit of Creativity, is an exploration of the creative process from inspiration to vocation and a collective conversation about innovation, collaboration, and spirituality in art.

The conference hotel, the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, will be celebrating its 50th anniversary of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s bed-in, where they recorded “Give Peace a Chance".
